Crib Bedding For Boys And Girls

By Darren Hartley

The nursery of a baby boy can never be complete without its boy crib bedding. The nearly endless variety of colors, patterns and styles of the crib bedding of today ranges from budget to luxury and from classic to ultra-trendy. For a crib bedding to be considered perfect, it should be able to give the look the parents desire to find in their nursery.

Included in classic boy crib bedding packages are a crib sheet, a comforter and a crib bumper pad. Also included in some sets are a crib ruffle and other accessories such as diaper stackers and crib mobiles. However, parents may opt for crib bedding separates to enable them to purchase only the pieces they want their baby to have. Some parents think babies do need the comforter while others are concerned about the safety problems regarding crib bumpers.

More important than either spending a little or a lot on boy crib bedding, is the selection of crib bedding that is very soft to the touch of the baby's skin. The most popular items for this purpose include knit cotton sheets, flannel crib sheets and higher thread-count woven cottons.

With regard to the fabric of the baby bedding for girls selected, they should be easily washable using a machine. With the many messes babies are expected to make, parents, especially the working ones, do not want to be doing hand-washing and spot-treating on a permanent basis.

There are baby bedding for girls designed for every crib mattress size, which, by the way, is available in a wide variety. Before washing the baby bedding in preparation for the arrival of the baby, parents must ensure that they are of the right size.

Finding the baby bedding for girls to be slightly larger or smaller than the crib mattress only after washing has been done, will unable the parents to exchange them for the right size. Parents must keep in mind that the crib bedding must fit the crib mattress snugly specifically for the safety of the baby.
