One of the rarest cases to hear is the event where a dog has been bitten by another animal. This is because at most times, it is s usually this pet which is termed as the predator. There is an increasing number of reported cases concerning these snake bites. Most of them usually attack the head or the neck. There are times when the pet will have lost a lot of blood in the process. At such scenarios, what is called for is blood transfusion. However, irrespective of the level of injury which has been encountered, it is always important for antibiotics to be offered to prevent bacterial infection and also painkillers to help lower the pain.

Study has shown that it is more common for dogs to be bitten by snakes as compared to other animals. This is because they are quite playful animals and they wonder everywhere hence increasing their chances of attack by snakes. Several precautions can be taken in this case as some of these cases are due to negligence.

For starters, clearing all the bushes around the house to destroy habitat for these poisonous animals is important. This is due to the fact that most of them are found in the midst of tall grasses hence individuals are not supposed to take any chances as most of the snakes find pleasure in hiding in tall grasses.

In conclusion to the above, other protective measures can be employed such as making sure that there is no spilled food around the house which attracts rodents that bring snake sand in the event where the dog is being taken for walk in the park, the owner is always supposed to be on the lookout.
