You Too Should Join Some Piper Meridian Training Courses

By Tanisha Berg

Being stressed is no fun, so being able to handle it, would be nice. Piper Meridian training is not only for those that work in stressful jobs. More and more people are applying for their pilot's license every day. Not everyone can afford this as it is an expensive sport but many are saving up so they can live their dream.

This is a light aircraft and is powered by a single engine. There is place for two pilot and four passengers. It is spacious inside and very comfortable. Its maximum flight range is about 1.000 nautical miles or 1.60934 kilometers. Nautical miles are the distance that is measured along an imaginary circle of the Earth's surface. This connects the lines of longitude from the North Pole to the South. It is normally used by shipping companies as well as those that go to the Polar Regions for exploring.

The Multi-Engine Instrument Refresher is a two day course for either the Piston or Turboprop. One course that is worth getting a refresher on is the High Altitude Endorsement. This will cover all symptoms and causes of lack of oxygen or any other sicknesses due to high altitude.

The amount of runway needed to take off is about 2.438 feet and to land it will need about 2.110 feet. It is able to climb about 1.556 feet per minute and within 19 minutes reaches its normal altitude. Its basic weight which includes the crew is about 3.436lbs but excludes the fuel. It can hold up to 170 gallons of fuel once filled.

Next the airport operations will need to be completed. These will cover all communication as well as clearances, taxing and general ground rules. Taking off and/or landing can be either easy or difficult depending if there are crosswinds or not so take extra special care. At times the high altitudes will make the craft difficult to handle and you will need to be able to control it during this as well as making all climbs, descents and steep turns.

The ability to read all charts quickly and easily is essential and must know all radio procedures. When it comes to bad weather whether you are on the ground or not, this is important. One will also be taught how to avoid collisions in mid air and how to recognize when there will be wake turbulence.

Having the ability to fly in the dark will also be tested. Taking off and landing as well as navigating is not as easy as during the day. That is why it is essential that one can fly on instruments alone. All emergency operations will be discussed in flight and how your decision and handling will affect you and the passengers.

The fifth day will take place at an airport with the instructor and all preflight and flight planning will be done. The last day will be about traffic patterns, field layout and instruments. This sort of training, as with all flight training is very expensive but if you have the means one should really consider doing this.
