The cavachon is a very unique breed of dog. This breed originated from the United States and was due to a coincidental mating between two different breeds. This was between a cavalier king and a Bichon fries. They are quite small in size and the average dog will weigh between twelve and twenty pounds. When it comes to height, the parent gene is the determinant factor. There are several things that one should know about cavachon breeders.

Despite the small size, these creatures are quite hairy in nature. They have a thick, curly and fluffy coat. This is especially for the grown breeds. Unlike other breeds also, this dog category rarely sheds any hair. This allows the hairs to grow to excellent lengths. The fact that they do not lose hair makes them good for even the people with allergy complications. The popular dog here is either white or brown with patches.

Their playful nature and strong desire to please their companion makes them very suitable for children of all age brackets. It is also suitable for homes that keep several animals species for pets. The species is generally friendly to all other animals irrespective of kind or species. One should be keen to character change bearing in mind that it is a cross breed and could have mixed temperaments.

The character of these dogs is best suited for the indoor set up. One does not have to create a lot of play space for them as well will comfortably have fun in a limited area. If they are to be taken out door, the person should make sure that they have a well defined fence around the premises. This is to reduce chances of them running off and disappearing in the woods. Evening walks are a necessity for these creatures as it enables them to burn excess energy.

Being highly intelligent and always eager to please the master, this breed is very easy to train effectively. They are very quick at learning the commands that are used during the training process. For increased efficiency at this venture the person should make an effort to begin the training at a very tender age. The venture should undertaken by an experienced small breed trainer.

The unique nature of these dogs makes them quite expensive especially when it comes to care and maintenance. It has to be brushed as regular as possible to avoid matting of fur. Cleanliness is another highly crucial thing among these creatures. The owner therefore has to wash the dog with shampoo on a regular basis.

Dogs are generally sensitive to the cold weather. This gets worse with this mixed breed. Measures should be taken to ensure that the creature remains warm and toasty at all times. One way to accomplish this is by reducing the frequency to the groomer. The hairs around the eyes should be trimmed often to prevent staining.
