The dogs are very easy to train because they are very intelligent. They master skills quickly, especially when they are trained at a tender age. Cavachons like to bark when they see strange people or animals. However, the canines are not known for being watchdogs. Thus, they cannot be relied upon to serve as watchdogs because they get distracted easily.

Generally, Cavachons are healthy dogs. They do not get by health problems that affect most other breeds. The parentage should be investigated before buying a puppy so as to know what diseases are likely to affect it.
