The African continent is considered one of the most top regions in the world that receives a lot of development aid in terms of scholarship offers to its learners. These scholarship opportunities give the African students a chance to study in abroad universities. The purpose of this is usually to develop the human resource and improve capacity building in the African continent. These grants are mostly awarded to undergraduate and postgraduate student in Africa. This aid has proved over the years to have a positive effect to the trainees Hence, this article has put focus on the benefits of scholarships for African students.

In the case that they go back to their home countries, they significantly contribute to the social, economic and political development of their countries.
